Minnesota Defense Receives First Order for Soldier-Borne Connector™

St. Paul, MN, 3/21/05 -- Minnesota Defense announced today that it received its first order for the Soldier-Borne Connector™ from the David Clark Company, Worcester MA, for 2,200 full-cable assemblies for use in demanding military and commercial communication products. David Clark Company Incorporated, the world leader in noise-attenuating headsets for general aviation and the military, specializes in communication solutions for any high-noise environment.

The Soldier-Borne Connector™ is a Minnesota Defense trademarked product. Its design originates from Minnesota Defense’s extensive experience designing and manufacturing interconnect systems for portable and wearable systems. The Soldier-Borne Connector™ is a pin-less, self cleaning, rugged connector.

"We are thrilled that the David Clark Company is using the Soldier-Borne Connector™," said Tom Ashenbrenner, Division Manager for Minnesota Defense. "We are confident that this pioneering technology is rugged enough to handle severe combat operations while decreasing maintenance for soldiers."

"The connector passed all initial fightability testing," said Andy Davis, a former Army Ranger, and Minnesota Defense’s Subject Matter Expert for Defense Applications.
