Soldier Interconnect â„¢

In Oct 01, the US Army recruited Minnesota Defense to provide an interconnect solution for the Land Warrior.  In Jun 02, Minnesota Defense delivered Soldier Interconnect.

Soldier Interconnect is an integrated system of cables, connectors, and overmolds designed to meet unique soldier requirements (e.g. wearable, rugged, and serviceable).  Soldier Interconnect increased flex life from 138 to 3,703 cycles, passed a 3-meter/1-hour submersion test, and exceeded vibration/shock requirements.

Minnesota Defense received military accolades for its contributions to the Land Warrior:

Building on Soldier Interconnect's success, Minnesota Defense is developing Soldier Interconnectâ„¢ 2.0.  The project's aim is to leverage advances in dispersing carbon nanotubes in polymers to develop a flexible, durable cable with unmatched EMI/RFI protection.
